With multi adjustable sliding banks that are pinned into position, this Tamper can travel the world and work on, literally, any rail gauge.
The sliding bar is a single solid billet of steel that gives the possibility of sliding off one of the banks, re-routing the hoses and using it as an MSG4.
This steel bar enables very easy viewing from the RRV cab due to fewer hoses.
The downward forces are not fed through a swivel pin but evenly distributed across the steel bar. No cracking.
The pick arm pins are larger than competitors - 35mm not 24mm.
Extra large motors are mounted inboard, to avoid being damaged and further improve visibility.

Tamping bank attachments usually overheat on the ‘squeeze’ circuit and have to stop after 20-30 stalls. The MSG8 shown above has just completed 105 (!) and shows no signs of overheating at all. Pure class from the designer, Matthias Muller.
